   macOS says the app is damaged and will not open

   ShortcutDock is a self-signed, independent application, so Gatekeeper asks for confirmation the first time it runs.

   1. 1.Open your Applications folder.
   2. 2.Right-click (or Control-click) the ShortcutDock app.
   3. 3.Select Open from the menu.
   4. 4.Click Open in the system prompt that appears.

   That establishes a permanent Gatekeeper exception. macOS remembers it from then on, and double-clicking the app works normally afterwards.

   Launching ShortcutDock automatically at startup

   To have ShortcutDock in the menu bar before you need it, add it to your login items.

   1. 1.Open System Settings, then General, then Login Items.
   2. 2.Click the + button under Open at Login.
   3. 3.Select ShortcutDock from your Applications folder.

   ShortcutDock also carries its own launch at login setting, so either route gets the same result.

   Customising the global launch shortcut

   The app grid opens from the menu bar icon or from a global keyboard shortcut, and the combination is yours to choose.

   1. 1.Click the gear icon inside the ShortcutDock panel.
   2. 2.Open the Shortcuts tab.
   3. 3.Click the hotkey input box.
   4. 4.Press the new key combination you want to use.

   The new shortcut works immediately from any app, and it can be changed again at any time.
